New Kraze Music: Shawn Mendes ‘When You’re Gone’

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly half a year since Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello called it quits. We all knew the split would eventually inspire their art, and now we’re start to see how that’s shaping up.

Camila seems saddened but relatively upbeat about the ordeal, addressing the breakup in her new hit ‘Bam Bam’

Now I’m out dancin’ with strangers
You could be casually datin’
Damn, it’s all changin’ so fast

Shawn Mendes meanwhile has been displaying his heartache in a more down-tempo fashion. Before Christmas, he released a sad track laced with a bit of optimism called ‘It’ll Be OK’.

Oh, the future we dreamed of is fading to black
Oh
Oh, there’s nothing more painful
Nothing more painful

I start to imagine a world where we don’t collide
And it’s making me sick, but we’ll heal and the sun will rise

Now with that out of his system, he’s ready to rock again- although the themes of heartache are still present in his new track ‘When You’re Gone’

Hold on
I don’t wanna know what it’s like when you’re gone
I don’t wanna move on
I don’t wanna know what it’s like when you’re gone for good
You’re slipping through my fingertips
A little bit, by a little bit
I didn’t know that loving you was the happiest I’ve ever been
So I’m just tryna hold on[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tp4fUH2E8uc”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
