For Barbie fans, it was a little disappointing to hear the news that Aqua’s essential 1998 hit ‘Barbie Girl’ would not be part of the soundtrack for Greta Gerwig’s upcoming film Barbie. Or will it?
The track list was unveiled for the film’s soundtrack with a star-studded lineup featuring Nicki Minaj, Ava Max, Tame Impala, Lizzo, PinkPantheress & others. Minaj, Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice and Aqua collaborated on a track called “Barbie World” and may have gotten Barbie Girl into the mix trojan horse style. You decide!
