Do Dogs Get More For Xmas Than Cats?

Looks like dogs are winning the holiday gift race this year! According to a survey of 2,000 pet owners, pups are getting the royal treatment with around $34 worth of presents, while cool cats are settling for a respectable $24 in goodies. Chew toys are topping the charts for dogs, along with cozy blankets and even a turkey dinner to make their tails wag on the big day.

Meanwhile, our feline friends are getting their claws into new toys and scratching posts—a purr-fect present, if you ask me! And get this: one in three pet owners is going the extra mile with a pet stocking this Christmas. I always get our cat Poochie a stocking. My 7 year old is adamant about it.

But here’s the kicker: a whopping 80% of pet owners are savvy enough to know that pet presents just don’t fit under the tree. Who knew our furry friends had their own Santa’s workshop away from the tree? Smart move, folks!
